This is the very first step you need to take towards selling an item on Mercari. You can either create an account by downloading the app on your mobile phone or you can create on a web browser either on your mobile phone or a desktop/laptop computer.
Once you have successfully created an account on Mercari and signed into your account go to your profile and have a look around to get yourself familiar with the tabs on the Mercari app/website.

How Many Items Can You List on Mercari
Listing on Mercari is free if your listed items are less than twelve (12). This means if you have less than 12 items to list on Mercari you can list for free and will only get charged when you have sold the item.
Shipping With Mercari
You can’t learn how to sell on Mercari without including how to ship your sold items. When you are done uploading pictures of your items and have also fully described it, your next task will be to set your shipping preference for the listed item.

Once you are happy with the price of the item and have considered the delivery cost, set your list price. Just below the price you’ve set, you’ll see a breakdown of the total fees and your potential earnings. It’ll also show if you have opted for the Mercari shipping label. Once you are happy with the set price tap List and your item will go live.
Mercari How to Ship
Once you get a buyer on Mercari and your item sells, Mercari automatically marks your item as sold. You will need to ship your item within three business days.
If you decide to use a prepaid label on Mercari, tap “Create Shipping Label”, once created, print it and stick it on your shipping box/bag. Make sure you buy the right shipping label for your item else you might get charged an additional cost. If you decide to use your own postage label, don’t forget to provide the shipping label tracking information to Mercari.
As soon as the item is tracked as delivered, the buyer has three days to confirm that they have received the item as described on the listing. The buyer also gets to rate you the seller, It’s important to get good ratings as this will help future buyers find you trustworthy.
if a buyer fails to confirm delivery, leave a rating, or submit a return request after three days, Mercari gives the seller an automatic 5-star review for the transaction.
If the buyer doesn’t rate you or fails to submit a return request within those three days, Mercari gives you an automatic five-star review for the transaction.
How Much Does it Cost to Sell Items on Mercari?
There’s no cost to list an item, but once your sale goes through, when you have sold your item and the buyer has confirmed that they received the item, Mercari collects 10% of the sale price. If you are looking to maximize your profit on a listed item, you need to keep in mind that 10% of your list price goes to Mercari.
Mercari How to Get Paid
You get paid on Mercari when the buyer has left a rating, if they don’t Mercari automatically leaves a rating for you. You’ll then need to rate the buyer. Once you have rated the buyer. Your funds will be added to your Mercari account balance. To withdraw the funds to go to My Page > Balance.
